Peru Mission Camp

Peru Mission sent a letter to Twin Lakes which included the following:
"...Here in Peru, God has seen fit to send many children to our churches. For instance, our newest church planting effort in the Arevalo community has more than half its Sunday morning attendance in children. It is not uncommon for 60 children to show up without their parents for Lord's Day worship and Sunday School. The Arevalo community is not alone; we also have high attendance of youth at all our churches. God has given us an amazing opportunity to reach the next generation for Christ..."
"...We are convinced that one of the ways the gospel would have an immense impact in the lives of thousands of children is to mimic your summer camp program here in Peru. It is staggering to consider the possibility that in one generation, Trujillo can be transformed into a society filled with converted and committed Christians."

December 28, 2007 - January 5, 2008
the children of Trujillo, Peru will experience
their first summer camp!

WHO: Anyone (ages 13 and up, unless accompanied by a parent) who loves the Lord and likes to work with children.

WHAT: Serve as a short term missionary by helping run a weeklong camp for over 300 children: teach activities, play with kids, share the testimony of God's work in your life, meet their families and help the churches reach out to the neighborhoods. (You do not need to know Spanish - interpreters will be available). Peru Mission hopes to one day build a camp.

WHEN: December 28, 2007 - January 5, 2008 (Our winter is their summer!)

COST: $2000 (airline tickets, immunizations, travel insurance, hotel, taxis, food, camp costs, etc.)
